If you’re constantly reliving painful experiences, avoiding people or places that remind you of the past, or feeling emotionally stuck, you’re not alone. At Restoration Health & Wellness, we provide trauma-informed psychiatric care for individuals experiencing the effects of trauma and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).
We create a safe, non-judgmental space for healing—so you can move forward with peace, resilience, and clarity.
Trauma is an emotional response to a deeply distressing or disturbing event, and it can have lasting effects on both the mind and body. Traumatic experiences can take many forms, including physical or sexual assault, military combat, serious accidents or injuries, domestic violence, childhood abuse or neglect, medical trauma, natural disasters, or the loss of a loved one. Each person’s reaction to trauma is unique, and its impact can vary widely based on the individual and the circumstances.
While some people recover naturally over time, others may develop symptoms that persist and interfere with daily life. When these symptoms continue or intensify, they can lead to Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)—a condition that affects mood, memory, relationships, and overall sense of safety. With the right support and treatment, healing from trauma is not only possible but sustainable.
Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is a mental health condition that can develop after exposure to a traumatic event. It affects how the brain processes memories, manages emotions, and perceives safety, often long after the actual experience has passed. PTSD can be triggered by a variety of events, from combat and assault to accidents, disasters, or prolonged abuse. It’s not a sign of weakness—it’s a natural response to overwhelming stress.
Common symptoms include intrusive thoughts, nightmares, or flashbacks; avoidance of people, places, or situations that serve as reminders; heightened alertness or irritability; trouble sleeping or concentrating; and emotional numbness or a sense of detachment from others. Many people with PTSD also report feeling unsafe, even in everyday environments. These symptoms can deeply affect relationships, work, and quality of life—but with the right treatment and support, healing is absolutely possible.
At Restoration Health & Wellness, we understand that trauma affects everyone differently. That’s why we offer personalized treatment plans that address your unique symptoms, triggers, and goals.
We begin with a comprehensive intake to assess symptoms, medical history, trauma exposure, and co-occurring conditions like anxiety, depression, or substance use.
Medications such as SSRIs, SNRIs, or prazosin (for nightmares) may be used to help reduce intrusive symptoms, stabilize mood, and support sleep. We take a conservative, thoughtful approach to prescribing.
While we do not provide psychotherapy in-house, we collaborate closely with experienced, trauma-informed therapists who specialize in evidence-based treatments such as Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), and Prolonged Exposure Therapy. Our team is happy to help connect you with the right provider and coordinate care to ensure you receive a well-rounded, effective treatment plan tailored to your specific needs.
We offer discreet, confidential trauma and PTSD treatment through virtual visits for those who prefer privacy or have difficulty traveling.
You don’t have to carry the weight of trauma alone. Healing is possible—and we’re here to help you every step of the way.
We start with a virtual or in-person appointment to get to know you—your symptoms, history, goals, and concerns.
Based on your evaluation, your provider will recommend a treatment plan that may include medication, lifestyle strategies, or therapy referrals.
You’ll receive regular follow-ups with the same provider to ensure your treatment is working and evolving with you.
Whether you’re battling burnout, emotional exhaustion, or a condition that’s hard to name—your mental health matters. Let us help you restore your peace of mind.
